With the holidays upon us and 2018 drawing to a close, it’s that time of the year where we take the opportunity to reflect on the year that was.
At Grosvenor, we are passionate about what we do and what we can achieve with hard work by working together for the common good. We are constantly innovating; finding ways to improve our existing solutions, while creating new solutions to meet our customers evolving needs and to ensure Grosvenor remains at the forefront of the industry.
There is no doubt that our people are our greatest strength, along with our culture. We talk a lot about our core values – safety, innovation, family, growth, respect and integrity, how we can make a difference, and how we can add real value to our customers.
I am particularly proud of our achievements in safety. In 2018 Grosvenor has continued to work strongly with our frontline teams and customers to improve site safety for our technicians, customers as well as the general public. It takes a huge commitment to ensure safety is our No. 1 priority and we will continue to ensure our ongoing commitment to our safety values. Nothing is more important than everyone going home safely each day to their loved ones.
Family is very important to us. Grosvenor started out as a family business 24 years ago with just 7 technicians. Although we’re now a company with over 700 employees across Australia, we are still a family – just a much larger one! We’ve held onto the belief that family is of fundamental importance and we support our people to have a work-life balance and offer you the flexibility to enjoy your families and be there for them when needed.
So please remember… don’t ever miss your kids school events and try to be there for your loved ones when they need you. The reason we all work is to make a better life for ourselves and our families. The reason why we work for Grosvenor is because it offers us a chance to work together to make a positive difference to everyone’s lives (our employees, our customers, our suppliers and the general public). Just think… we look after many thousands of buildings and touch hundreds of thousands of building occupants daily by the services we offer. We keep people safe, comfortable and productive each day as they toil to make a better life for themselves and their families.
We do this by a customer focused, proactive, service first mentality as well as honesty and integrity when dealing with others. We need to be proud of the fact that we continue to grow and prosper whilst staying true to these values and beliefs. It’s amazing to think that May 4th 2019 will be our 25th year in existence. We’ve lots to look forward to next year and I’ll have more to say on that in the new year.
