MERRY CHRISTMAS AND SEASON’S GREETINGS

Spread the love

I can’t believe the end of the year is already here! And what a year it’s been!

Transformational comes to mind to describe this year for Grosvenor and our achievements. We’re proud to be making a difference to the lives of our employees and their families, as well as the greater community.

Whilst we look forward to a well-earned rest during the upcoming holiday season, celebrating and relaxing with family and friends, we can reflect on a year of continuing evolution and growth.

This year, we’re acknowledging a significant milestone, our 25th birthday, given our journey started in 1994. It feels like yesterday when it all began, and reflecting on the years gone by, so much has been achieved. And it’s all because of our people. Your dedication, commitment and passion, does not go unnoticed. People’s hard work and dedication built this company and it will continue to thrive if people believe in our shared vision to work together and help each other to make a better life for ourselves and our families.

Reflecting on the company we are today, we’ve reinforced our company’s Purpose – To enrich people’s lives by transforming the built environment. And with this, we re-phrased our Values to ensure they’re current to our employees and greater community, without losing their original intent from 1994:

Safety; Agility; Balance; and Partnerships. Every day, we live these Values, they are the foundation of this business and what makes us tick.

Safety is our number one priority and in 2019, we’ve continued to work with our frontline teams to ensure the safety of our technicians, engineers, customers and the general public. We partnered with Sentis – a business dedicated to assisting organisations like ours’ to enhance the culture of safety within our business. This is an important next step in our continuing journey to build an even more rigorous and effective safety-first culture. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that everyone gets home safely to their loved ones. After all, it’s impossible to make a better life for ourselves and our families if we’re not with them. Please, please always remember that!!

With the emergence of new and industry-changing technologies, we’re continuously renewing and adapting, to stay ahead, in a rapidly changing environment. At Grosvenor, we’re looking to build a higher degree of organisational agility and have been working on introducing some market leading innovations, into Australia. We’ve always been at the forefront of data-driven maintenance; We’ve always ensured that data collected through our proactive services is used to help our customers achieve the best possible outcomes for their property and business. Now we’re also helping to protect all the machine data extracted from buildings. Hacking of operational technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a huge new risk to our customers. For this reason we’ve created a new service called Grosvenor Cyber Solutions. We’ve formed a partnership with a leading cyber security technology provider, Tempered Networks (www.temperednetworks.com), to be their exclusive Australian/NZ distributor. This enables us to offer our customers the best possible service solutions to address this emerging risk as buildings are increasingly becoming smarter and more connected to the internet.

Grosvenor exists because of our people. And today, we are 800+ people strong across Australia. A big organisation yes, but we’re still a family at heart. And family takes care of each other as best as it can. This year we’ve focussed on the mental well-being of our people, supporting great initiatives such as R U OK Day and International White Ribbon Day. We encourage our employees to find that balance between work and family, and to make sure they cherish those special moments with their loved ones. Whether you are taking a few days or a few weeks over the holidays, use the time to re-charge, re-balance and re-connect with your family and friends.

This year saw the start of many great new partnerships, with new customers on board as well as our growing community involvement. One such community partnership is with Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education and Training (Tranby). We’re committed to engaging with the Aboriginal community to enhance our community outreach, employment and retention of Indigenous apprentices and staff. The relationship will also see us learning and networking with Tranby’s community. As part of this process we are looking to also enrich our cultural understanding via training programs for our employees to create a force for positive community change. We look forward to working together with Tranby on some exciting projects in the new year.

With the days getting warmer, the holiday season is a very busy time for all of us. The Grosvenor team will be operational and on-call throughout the Christmas break as always.  We can be reached through our National Call Centre on 1300 255 247.

The new year will bring many more new and exciting developments. We will be ready to hit the ground running and are excited for what 2020 will bring. Stay tuned…..

On behalf of Grosvenor’s Board of Directors and Senior Executive Team, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and hard work. May you all have the most amazing time celebrating with your family and friends and we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Healthy and Prosperous New Year in 2020.

Yours sincerely
